Dining in the Congreso District

Located in the heart of Buenos Aires, there are dozens of tasty restaurants within walking distance. Here are just a few.

Palermo district
(We know this restaurant well – their "mojellas a la parrilla" [sweetbreads on a barbecue] are excellent. Great wine list too)

El Porte o
In Puerto Madero (at the very end of the riverbank, towards Constitución). It’s very good – especially for lunch. It’s a one-price, all-you-can-eat buffet, but the quality is excellent. About $20-25/person. Drinks, wine, coffee are extra [very good wine list].

Freud & Fahler
Gurruchaga 1750
phone: 4833-2153
Palermo district (around Plaza Serrano. Great neighborhood for restaurants and weekend artisan market)

Pan y Arte
Boedo 878.

There are many restaurants in the Palermo-Soho district (a few blocks from Plaza Serrano).

Just beyond where the street Uruguay crosses Avenida de Mayo its name changes into San José; there are many new and good restaurants there.
